Family vacation day 2

Last night we had a movie night together.  Lael made it through the movie... Barely!!
 Sweet little cherubs...
What is it about the complete peace you feel when watching your children totally relaxed in slumber?? Love it!!
Unfortunately, this night was not to be as smooth as the night before.  Lael woke several times through the night.  She finally settled and quieted with me around 5:30am on the couch... Then Eli was up a little after 6, saying it was getting light outside... Time to wake up!!

The day turned out great!! (even with the rocky start we got)  We got in several hours of beach time, safe in the shade of the palm on the beach:)

The wind was very strong... the waves loud and crashing... A perfect day to relax on the beach:)

We dug out a shallow pool, which soon was filled in... thanks to the incoming tide... Lael had a blast with her own private ocean!!
The beauty here never ceases to amaze me!  We see crews constantly working quietly, quickly and busily behind the scenes to capture this amazing beauty at it's finest.  And the people are all so friendly, inviting a quiet conversation and wondering what you think of their island.

The view from just outside our building...
The same view, including our building...
The panoramic view from our porch... One of my favorite places on vacation!!!

The flowers are all beginning to come into bloom when we come in mid February... Spectacular!!

After a quick lunch this day, a quick nap for Lael, during the grocery run for the guys, we headed back to the pool.  Lael loves to put her face in the water!! She things blowing bubbles in the water is hysterical:)  She'll just look at me and bust up laughing when I show her, then she drops her face under the water, coming quickly back up, laughing like crazy.  What fun!!
We even got her to jump in a few times!!

Eli has been working on swimming as well:) He walks around with his mask on his head.  Forehead, that is, snorkel in mouth, talking and breathing through the snorkel, afraid he will get water in his mouth. He is building up nerves to try jumping in... Maybe tomorrow?

After a yummy dinner and watching a movie together, the kiddos went to bed (Lael didn't quite make it through the movie tonight) and slept in until just a little after 6:)

I will say one thing for vacationing with small children... One enjoys far more hours in the morning with children than one does without!!  As much as I would love to sleep in... Oh how marvelous are your works, Oh God!!!  The beauty is remarkable, and we can thank our children for a change in persepective!

Thank you for family, for blessings and this marvelous planet you have given us.  May we glorify you in all we do!!!
