Busy days

We had our first dentist exam today for both kids. Eli did well, enjoying the video games the kids play on the screen now. No cavities;) yeah!!

Lael couldn't wait to take the chair;) Mey I? She kept asking as Eli awaited the dentist. She finally got on the seat and did a great job;)

She even got a light cleaning... Though she didn't care much for the suction tube, she loved getting a drink from the little straw!

Shiny teeth all around!

Then on to more exciting adventures, like teaching how to throw the ball and make a hoop;)

We got out the soapy water and brushes and attacked the new log cabin our friends gave us. It cleaned up nicely. When I posed Eli at the window and Lael in the doorway, she wanted none of that;) finally got her to the front window for a face shot;)

Family swinging time is always fun... Can't believe I got us all in with a self portrait!

Bedtime was a bit delayed when I put down the garage door and saw this on the inside of our garage....

I opened the door slightly and gently nudged the snake from the coils with a broom. Once he was on the door, I simply closed the garage door... Yeah, on the outside now!!

We were pretty happy to see him on this side of the glass;)

Ahhhh.... Summer vacation fun;)

Springtime Family Fun

What fun this spring has been as we ease into warmer weather and enjoy getting out more. I love the perennials, coming back year after year, touching us with their beauty.

Chalk drawings are fun. Here, we had a whole city finished just before bed, planning on playing in it the next morning. Little did we know that there would be a HUGE thunderstorm that night.... Obliterating our work...

Eli has such an amazing awareness of driving... Almost scary. He pulled into the garage, executing a perfect 2 point turn to back Lael's car right into place. Amazing!

Family movie night has become a tradition now. What fun to sit together, sharing a huge bowl of popcorn, spending time together.

Shopping with Lael... Such a pretty spring day!

She loves brushing her teeth! Fresh and clean after her shower:)

This butterfly graced our door with his presence.... Giving the kids such a pretty, close up view.

Tricycle riding at its finest, big brother looking on.

Yeah... Pics with mommy on her new iPad:)

Argh...argh...argh... Big tools for my guys!

Eli used his birthday money to get a new basketball. Having a blast shooting hoops!

Shopping with both kids, right after signing up for summer reading... Eli finished 7 books before we finished shopping;) loving to read!!!

While the steaks were grilling, the boys were having fun riding bikes. I think maybe it's time to upgrade Tim's bike, eh? Hehe

This morning, they blessed my heart yet again. As I was getting breakfast ready, this is what I looked over and saw them doing. Eli has been talking about being nicer to Lael and finding things they can do together. GOOD JOB, ELI! LOVE IT!

Summer and our onslaught of family birthdays are just right around the corner. What a blessing we celebrate every day.

Thank you, God, for the amazing blessings in our lives. May we ever be more aware of all you have given!

Party time

The weekend before Eli's bday party, he was invited to 2 other parties. What fun we had playing at the park with Anna and several of Eli's classmates.

And then, the next day, we had a pool party to celebrate Autumn's bday. Fun with friends!

Eli's birthday weekend

I can't believe Eli is 7!! We celebrated his birthday early this year so he could have a skating party at Lind Arena with his classmates. Invitations went out and many of his friends were able to come. What a beautiful day it turned out to be!!

We did a cupcake cake this year, Mario being the theme of his party:)

Lael had her first spin on roller skates...

After a few rounds, she thought she could do it all by herself...

And only fell a couple of times:)

LOVE this pic!! Love seeing the 2 of them working together like this!!

Eli and Daddy got to stand in the middle while we all sang happy birthday to him!!

Columbus Zoo

Took Lael to the zoo with some friends of ours a few weeks ago

Amazingly enough, she remained in her seat for only a few minutes. She walked the majority of the time, holding onto the stroller. The amazement on her face was so great to watch.

Our friends do a pose in the "stinky flower" every year, so we got to have our first visit there as well;) It was a beautiful day!!

She was not very sure of the merry go round at first....

But soon warmed up to it and was laughing out loud;)

The train pulled into the station, and we boarded with our friends. What a nice ride.

She got to sit all by herself on the seat next to me as we enjoyed the scenery.

Such a sweetly perfect day!!
